Free Period!

HEY Y'ALL

WE HAVE A FREE PERIOD!

For those of you who have HL Bio instead of SL Physics, the concept of free periods are probably not as exciting. BUT THEY ARE FOR ME!

However, I believe that the concept of 'having time' to work on SCHOOL WORK that is NOT 5am is taking its toll on Mike. He has been hitting his head off of the computer monitor next to me for about 20 minutes, off and on. I am slightly scared. We are apparently supposed to be working on our Extended Essay, but I don't have a topic yet, so too friggin bad dear. Instead, we are all 'working' on English, otherwise known as emailing each other and talking about Mexicans.

Now, a wonderful picture I found by google seaching 'cat hotdog':

Oh crap. Apparently there is more to this English project than I thought. GOTTA GO!

Happy free-perioding fellow IBers!!

WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!

HELLO!
So, I'm finally writing my first blog post on here, and I am pretty pumped about it. I finally have the time!
As you can see, there is a lovely picture attached to this post of what appears to be a burning pile of papers. Those papers, my dear friends, are the entirety of my SL Géographie notes. Six modules, plus questions (mostly unanswered), case studies, and a practice exam. Let me tell you, watching it all go up in flames felt pretty damn good.
In other news, I finally feel like I'm on or at least near the same level of the other students in my SL Chemistry class, after switching into it from art a month after second semester started. I'll be a true chem whiz in no time ;) Chemistry and math are pretty much the only two classes at this point that even matter to me. In English, all we're doing is that Midaq Alley assignment, which is no biggie at all, geography is over, and of course, there's TOK. LOLJK, that's not a class. Although today I learned that knowledge issues are CRITICAL .. And Ms. Murphy was basically a celebrity NINE years ago.
Anyhow, I have like three pages of chem questions that apparently Wilkinson expected to be done by now despite the fact that I'm pretty sure no one did anything last week, so I guess I'll go get a start on that now.
Good luck to SL Physics-ers and French-ers!!!

NO MORE GÉO!

As of Friday, May 6th, all students who were forced to take the class-from-hell that is Géographie SL are rejoicing. WE ARE DONE! While most of the exam (and practically all of paper 2) was BSed like nothing I have ever done before, I must say the fact that I never have to open that 50 pound binder and cry as I attempt to read about la dégradation du sol or something equally as boring EVER AGAIN IN MY LIFE!

For those in HL Geo who test out next year, the best of luck to ya. You will need it my friend.

The only thing left for another year is the SL Physics exam, which is sure to be equally as awful (if not worse) than the Géo exam ... I guess I better go get studying.

BEST OF LUCK!!

Musings of a procrastinating IB student

Well... here we are less than a week away from our first ever IB exams, and I choose this time to write my first ever blog post. Why you may ask? Well I had planned on writing some more physics notes, then realized I didn't have my assessment statements, the realized I didn't know O'Tooles website, and I was unable to find the new syllabus online, so I figured I would attempt to do something productive, like our English blog, which led me here. Instead of doing something useful, like my chem lab that is due tomorrow and I have no idea to do it, or some more studying, I will bore you all with my commentary. Although speaking of exams, has anyone in géo read over that those "practice exams" in the green folder Mme. Munro gave us? It is most definitely not a practice exam, more like a random bunch of questions she threw together, which is helpful, but not as much as I would have liked. I wish these exams would just blow by, with us all coming out with sevens of course :). Physics is another story, at least with géo a few late nights of memorization will do the trick and I should be able to scrape by with a five or six ( if I am really lucky a seven, but lets not get carried away here), but you can't find understanding in a few late night, it will take several long hours and study sessions that are not interrupted by awful smelling teachers talking about fire ants.

Anyway that's all for now I guess, sorry for aiding in your procrastination efforts, but hey a study break is good every now and again :)

-ME :)
